Everything Gordon Ramsey Eats in a Day
If Hell’s Kitchen is anything to go by, you might assume that the TV chef is incredibly picky when it comes to his meals. Although brutal at times, you may be surprised that his diet is actually quite basic for a Michelin-starred chef, not to mention he loves a fast food burger from time to time. So what’s a day on a plate for Gordon Ramsey?
Breakfast
If you thought Gordon would be whipping up his famous creamy scrambled eggs each morning, you’d be wrong. The first meal of the day is not what you’d expect. Every morning, he enjoys a bowl of plain ol’ porridge claiming “it sets him up for the day and reminds him of his mother”. When he has the time, he likes to jazz things up by prepping the night before - “I put 3-4 bananas in the oven on a pilot light. And the next day, squeeze the bananas into almond milk, bring it to a boil, then add the oatmeal and dried cranberries, and you’ll have the most amazing oatmeal for breakfast.”
Lunch
When lunch comes around, the chef is usually in the kitchen sampling dishes and rarely sits down to a standard meal claiming “It’s very hard for me to enjoy a full meal, because I taste every 2 minutes in the kitchen”. Instead, it is more likely for the chef to eat small bites throughout the day. On the odd day off, Ramsey loves to indulge in his fast food favourite, a burger from In-N-Out.
Dinner
Again, the chef continues to graze during work hours meaning dinner is usually in the kitchen - “I like the Asian approach of four, five meals a day—small meals—because by the time I get to an entree, I’m full,”. “I like eating small bits and moving on. I’m pretty picky on that front.” Some of his favourite quick meals include green juices, a nicoise salad or one of his homemade fruit and nut bars.
