Gelato Messina Launch a Version of Viennetta
Popular Australian Gelateria, ‘Gelato Messina’, have re launched their version of the popular ice cream cake, 'Messinetta'. The 90’s classic was well known for it's wave-like layers and was comprised of vanilla ice cream and topped with a layer of chocolate.
Sadly, the iconic dessert was discontinued in 2009 by Unilever due to a lack of consumer demand. Subsequently, the halt in production sparked outrage amongst loyal fans.
Messina’s version is composed of fior di latte gelato with choc chips and chocolate fudge, covered in a piped vanilla chantilly and finished with a chocolate velvet spray.
You can get your hands on the $30 Messinetta tub by ordering online on Monday, August 10, for pick up between Friday, August 14–Sunday, August 16.
